As one of eight entities under VNA Homecare’s corporate umbrella, the VNA Foundation of Central New York, Inc. supports and promotes the provision of pediatric home health care services to children throughout the Central New York region; and fosters the education and development of professional and paraprofessional home health care practitioners, ensuring the availability of qualified caregivers into the future.
VNA Homecare currently has the largest pediatric and maternal child home care programming in Onondaga County. Pediatric programming includes a wide range of home care including instruction, supervision and treatment of chronic conditions. The maternal-child health program serves pregnant and postpartum women and their newborns; the medically at risk pregnant and postpartum women and includes a Short Stay component for low risk women discharged 24 to 36 hours or less after a regular delivery. VNA Homecare’s pediatric team served nearly 700 patients in the past year alone. The foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, helps enable the organization to enhance their pediatric home care services.
